Scholarship Programs and Aids


ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP

• Valedictorian-one semester free tuition upon presentation of a certified statement of the principal that he/she graduated from a class of not less than 50 students and has no grade lower than 1.5

• Salutatorian- one semester 50% discount in tuition fees upon presentation of a certified statement of the principal that he/she graduated from a class of not less than 50 students and has no grade lower than 1.5


COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

Every year the College is giving a one-year 100% free tuition scholarship to high school graduates who meet the following requirements:

• The student must not have grades lower than 1.5 and an average of at least 1.5.

• The student should pass the entrance exam and all other requirements.

• To qualify for the succeeding semesters, the students should maintain an average grade of 1.5 and no grade lower than 1.5.


ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

• Only the top three students per year level shall be granted scholarship every semester.

• The student with the highest general average will get the corresponding discount. The student with the 2nd highest general average will get the 2nd level of discount and the student who gets the next highest general average will get the next level of discount subject to the provision stated in item number one.

• The student must have a general average of at least 1.5 with no grade lower than 1.5b during the semester.

• Irregular students are quali8fied provided that he carried the regular load for the semester.

• The following are the rates of discount (on tuition only), based on the minimum general average:


• If there are more than one student who qualify to the general average grade of 88%

• The 25% discount shall be divided among them. The department Heads shall make the recommendation for academic scholarship.

• The Registrar shall verify the grades and the computation.

• The recommendation as verified shall be submitted to the President/Vice President for approval

• In the event that an error has been made in the recommendation and in the verification, such as an equally or more qualified student has been left out, the Department Head and the Registrar shall be made to certify and answer for the error.


AAS MUNICIPAL/CITY SCHOLARSHIP

• 100% discount is granted to municipal/city scholars upon presentation of recommendation from the Mayor. Each Municipality/City is entitled to one scholar at a time whosehigh school average is not lower than 1.5 and who must maintain the same or he loses his scholarship. If the student fails to maintain his class standing, the Mayor may recommend another scholar in his place.


AAS BARANGAY SCHOLARSHIP

• 50% discount is granted to Barangay Scholar upon presentation of recommendation from the Barangay Captain. Each barangay is entitled to one scholar whose high school average is not less than 1.5 and a grade not lower than1.5 and who must maintain the same inorder to enjoy the scholarship in the succeeding semester.


POLARIS SCHOLARSHIP

• A full scholarship grant offered to top caliber students who passed the qualifying exam, interview and medical requirements and is able to maintain a general average of 90% with no grade lower than 1.5 in any subject.


SWIMMING POWER TEAM

• Tuition and miscellaneous fees discount and other benefits based on their competency level.

• Scholars must maintain a passing grade in all subjects.


ALUMNI

• 5% discount on tuition fee is given to students whose brothers/sisters are in alumna/alumnus of the college. To qualify for such, the students must present this/her brother/sister alumni ID and their birth certificates.


GROUP DISCOUNT

Are extended to fresh high school graduates provided that:

a. They come from the same secondary school

b. They present an endorsement letter from the school principal or guidance counselor

c. They apply for group discount upon enrollment.

d. The discount shall be based on the following:


EARLY BIRD DISCOUNTS

• 10% discount on tuition fees is granted to the first 100 students who enroll at the school in Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering, Enhanced Support-Level PROGRAM FOR Marine Deck (ESLPMD) AND Enhanced Support-Level Program for Marine Engineering (ESLPME) within the period April 2 to May 15.


MIDSHIPMAN/MIDSHIPWOMAN(MOC) SCHOLARSHIP

• 2nd Year -10% discount

• 3rd Year- 15% discount


Special Privileges

1. Full time faculty members, after their 3rd year of service and administrative personnel and clerical staff after one year of service are given 50% discount on tuition fee., their spouse, legitimate children and brother/sister shall enjoy a 25% discount.

2. Siblings Discount

3. Upon the recommendation of the Faculty Advisers, the school may refund the tuition fee or part thereof for the school year or semester of deserving students who occupy responsible positions in the school as follows:

4. 20% tuition discount is granted to children of Brgy. Captains, upon presentation of the certificate by the Municipal/CITY Mayor that he is a duly electedBrgy.Captain of a particular barangay.

5. 20% tuition discount is given to the SK Chairman of a particular barangay or municipality/city, upon presentation of a certification by the Municipal/City Mayor that he/she is a duly elected SK Chairman of a particular barangay or municipality.


The forgoing scholarship and privileges do not apply during the summer session. Only one scholarship shall be enjoyed by a student.
