Adopt an Institution, A Christmas Party Celebration of STMTCC – LF

Christmas is indeed the most wonderful time of the year, it is not all about what you get but it’s all about what you give, and there is enormous sense of satisfaction when seeing the expression on the face of someone you’ve given a gift to and a way to, express feeling, giving reinforces, appreciation and acknowledgement of each other.

Student Executive Council La Fiesta together with school clubs and organizations (Wimaphil Youth, Hugyaw Arts and Dance Co., Sports Club, RAFA, FWA, Culinarians, Golden Z, 3p, Y4it) joined helping hands to make this first ever “adopt an institution” possible. Each club was assigned a needy institution in order for them to set programs, intermissions, gift giving and feeding program for the beneficiaries.

The institutions are as follow; BBY (Breaking Barrier for Young Children wherein young children with cases of ADHD, PWD’s and mental Disorders are the beneficiaries, ADPI (Association of Disable Persons in Iloilo) wherein all the PWD’s all around Iloilo City where gathered and they are given free Education from private individuals as thier sponsors, CIU (Crisis Intervention Unit) and Balay Dalayunan, both rehabilitation center for youth/child inconflict with the law, Iloilo City District Jail (Womens Dormitory) and lastly Asilo De Molo, A home for the Aged People.

The activity was awaking to all of the privilege that we have to be grateful of what we have and to realize that lot of people needs our help. By sacrificing a little for the things that are worthwhile and seeing smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries, it is more than expensive gift that we may receive for Christmas.
